Do I need a visa?

EU, UK, US, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Japanese, South Korean, and most Latin American passports get 90 days stamped in at the border. No form, no fee. Your passport needs at least 6 months' validity from your entry date and one blank page for the stamp.

Citizens of South Africa, India, China, and most African countries need an e-visa or consulate visa in advance — apply through acces-maroc.ma. Processing is 72 hours for the e-visa, two to four weeks for consulate applications. Bring the printout: airline check-in staff will ask for it before they let you board.

If you want to stay past 90 days, leave the country (a ferry to Tarifa, Spain costs about 40 euros) and re-enter. Overstaying triggers a fine on departure — 50 to 200 MAD per day, payable in cash before the gate.
