What plugs do they use?

If you're coming from continental Europe, your plugs work. From the UK, US, or Australia, you'll need an adapter. Most riads have a limited number of outlets per room — the buildings predate the era of charging four devices at once. A small power strip is more useful than a multi-adapter.
